We will remember them: Royals and senior politicians honour the fallen as wreaths are laid at the Cenotaph and nation pays respects to those who gave their lives to defend us
Britons today remembered our war dead in Remembrance Sunday services across the country. The Queen led a service at the Cenotaph in central London (main), where she was joined by the Duke of Edinburgh, Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, whose involvement marks his official transition into a full-time royal. Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge (left), Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, the Countess of Wessex, and the Princess Royal's husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, looked on from the Foreign Office balcony. Prime Minister David Cameron was the first politician to lay a wreath of poppies at the base of the Cenotaph, followed by the leader of the Opposition Jeremy Corbyn (inset). But the Labour leader was mocked on Twitter for his 'disappointingly poor bow'Source: Daily Mail.
