Chinese cuts off Nigerian worker’s finger in C’River

  A Chinese worker, identified as Njaga Chang, has cut off one of the right fingers of his Nigerian colleague at the Xin Xin Quarry in Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State. The 23-year-old Nigerian victim, Nsikak Tommy, was said to have incurred the wrath of the Chinese for failing to quickly turn on the generator at the quarry site.

Amaechi spent $150m on APC elections, says Wike

  THE Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, said on Sunday that he would not have contested a governorship rerun if the Supreme Court had failed to uphold his election. The governor also alleged that between December 1 and 18 of 2014, the immediate past government in the state led by Mr. Rotimi Amaechi had used $150m to fund the All Progressives Congress’ elections, adding that the state government will recover all stolen funds. Wike said this at a thanksgiving service at Saint Peter’s Anglican Church in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area. But reacting to the allegation, the state Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mr. Chris Finebone, described the claim as a big lie from “the very depth of hell.

'Stop shooting us': Beyoncé surprises fans with searing Black Lives Matter-themed song Formation as she plans to hijack Super Bowl with political performance

Beyoncé will perform a rallying cry for the Black Lives Matter movement at the Super Bowl a day after releasing the new song. The 34-year-old surprised fans on Saturday by dropping a video to Formation, which features flood-ridden New Orleans and a line of white cops facing a hooded little boy. 'Let's get in Formation,' she chants as the camera pans over graffiti that says: 'stop shooting us'.

Singer Jason Derulo was rushed to hospital today after cutting his leg open at a night club in Paris last night. According to reports, Jason, who is currently on tour, was dancing at Le Loft Metropolis nightclub in Paris, when he missed a step and cut his leg in front of shocked fans. Jason got 20 stitches at the hospital.
