Rooney celebrated his 30th birthday in the company of friends, family
and Manchester United team-mates past and present on Sunday night.

England captain had put in another laboured display in the Red Devils'

arriving for his party at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool later that
evening.
Rooney's
do was well attended by the Croxteth-born forward's team-mates both
past and present, but having arrived at the hotel unchanged from his
match-day suit, he didn't look particularly in the mood to celebrate.

Not
only had the United captain had been kept quiet by City's defence in
the stalemate, but he received a bang on the head for his troubles.
Rooney
accidentally clashed heads with City captain Vincent Kompany during the
first-half, leaving blood flowing down the side of his face and neck.
Rooney didn't flinch as a United physio applied stapled the wound.
Rooney's
party was attended by United stars past and present. German midfielder
Bastian Schweinsteiger attended with his girlfriend, the tennis star Ana
Ivanovic.
United
team-mates Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Michael Carrick, Ashley Young
