OLIVER HOLT: The wind whipped around the Britannia Stadium before the match. As a bugler played a haunting rendition of The Last Post to honour Remembrance Day in the silence of the packed stadium, a line of Stoke City mascots shivered in the cold, cowering in the breeze. Somewhere, in a warm place miles away, Jose Mourinho settled into a chair. This was still about him, of course, even though he was the man who wasn't there. It was about him precisely because he was the man who wasn't there.
